I started looking online for some jobs today and came across quite a few different opportunites. There were obviously the Get Rich Quick Schemes that kept popping up, but looking through Kijiji I actually found and called a few possible solid leads. The first one is selling a plant called the HYLA http://www.hyla-us.com/html/. I got an interview for this job on Friday and will be blogging more about it.
The second product I came across was one called CORE4. This is a brand new company based out of the US that sells a weight loss product. It's a MLM (multi-level-marketing) company and the income is solely based on commissions.
For those of you who don't know what a MLM company is, I'll give you a quick summary of what I've learned so far. Multi-level basically means that the company has a product they sell on multiple levels. These multiple levels are their sales representatives "me and you". For the sales representatives to make any money, not only do they have to sell the product directly to consumers, but sell it to other potential salespeople. By gathering a sales force directly under you, you eventually start making income off of their sales. I actually know one of these multi-level marketers personally and have a meeting with her tomorow morning!!
The third product I came across was "Prepaid Legal" http://www.prepaidlegal.com. Now I know this product is Legitamate as one of my neighbors actually sells this product as a part-time job. It's also traded on the New York Stock Exchange. From what I know so far, this is also a MLM type company, and you make your income solely based on commission. I like this product, but am unsure of market saturation, and the ability to actually sell this product in Canada. I have a meeting in Toronto on Friday with someone who's actually making a 6 figure income from this product.
The Fourth company is one called S.O.S (Southern Ontario Security). Basically from what I know, I would be going door to door selling security systems. I have an interview for this job on Monday. This may be a good way to further my sales experience and try out some different wild and crazy methods of selling to see which ones actually work.
The Fifth company/product I came across is called "GoogleMoneyMaster". This one seems like a scam as they shamelessly promote people's "supposed" success stories making $5000 a week. It does have googles name though and I'm intrigued to find out more.
Keep checking for more updates through my twitter account "SalesGuineaPig" and my blog.
I will be sitting in on a sales show tonight, and will let you know how it goes.
